Service Desk – 1300 307 832

The Service Desk is contactable on 1300 307 832 and operates Monday to Friday from 8.30 am to 9.00 pm , Saturday , Sunday and Public Holidays from 9am to 3pm (Times are daylight savings Australian Eastern Standard Time) to assist in resolving issues that relate to the proper operation of the Satellite system. If you have a problem with your Satellite modem or other Satellite hardware, the Harbour IT Service will work with you to diagnose the problem.

Normally Harbour IT can normally tell from their systems if your link is working correctly. Harbour IT do not charge for normal fault diagnose of the Satellite modem or the Satellite dish.

Harbour IT Service Desk System

Harbour IT will keep your relevant support information in a database for easy retrieval, however you should have your Circuit ID (SW8-223344 for example) and a four to five digit CPA number (1200 for examples) close at hand. Harbour IT keeps a record of all requests for service over the life of your agreement. If you do not have these please call Harbour IT on 1300 366 169 and this information can be provided on request.

Today’s IT ServiceDesk forms an integral component to any business environment to operate efficiently. The ServiceDesk provides a central point of contact for users to log IT issues, receive 1st level support, escalate problems, and have the IT issues managed efficiently. The Harbour IT ServiceDesk is a service that employs people & technology designed to allow the management of issues in a professional and consistent manner.

ServiceDesk Support Model

The Harbour IT ServiceDesk support model is simple, yet effective service, where all users are required to log IT related issues and requests at the ServiceDesk via the phone (1300 307 832), by email or by the internet directly. Once a call has been received the ServiceDesk person will log the call into the Harbour IT ServiceDesk system, advise the user of the call number and start working on the problem to resolve it.

In this model the ServiceDesk acts as the central point of contact at all times and provides the user with updates via email or phone as to the status of the call. The result is that IT issues are handled by the appropriately skilled IT person and therefore the issue gets resolved quickly.

VOIP

Harbour IT's Service Desk does not provide support for VOIP technical issues. Customers wishing to use VOIP should take advantage of the free trial offered by some VOIP specialists to trial these VOIP services before purchasing VOIP hardware or entering into agreements. Please be aware that satelitte based internet systems have inherent latencies not found in land based systems. As a result these systems are not ideal for VOIP services.

WEB MAIL ACCESS

You can access your Harboursat email account from any computer with internet access by logging on the following wesite www.mail2web.com. Enter your full email address then your email account password. Once logged in you can send and receive emails as per your own computers email prorgam
