Pricing / Plans - The Fine Print
- The above plans are available to newly eligible customers through the Australian Government's Australian Broadband Guarantee. If you are an existing Harbour IT customer, please log-on to check your details and view alternate plans and pricing. If you are considering migrating to our service, please send an email to hit.sales@harbourit.com.au and we'll provide you with a list of our most up-to-date (and cost effective) plans to suit your needs.
- Harbour IT guarantees your pricing plan options will not increase for up to three (3) years from the date of connection. Harbour IT will use its discretion in considering any reduction in plan prices.
- All plans include two (2) HarbourSat email accounts. If you wish to apply for further email accounts, please send an email to hit.operations@harbourit.com.au and we will investigation your request.
- Your data usage constitutes both data uploaded and downloaded during any given calendar month.
- If you select a shaped plan, once you reach your data allowance limit for any given month, your speed will be reduced to 64/64 kbps for the remainder of the calendar month and you will not incur any additional fees for excess usage. If you do not select a shaped plan and you exceed your data allowance for any given month, you will be charged a rate of 5 cents per MB over and above your monthly data allowance.

You can change between any of the above plans up to once a month at no additional charge. The change will take effect on the 1st of the following month after your request has been sent to the upgrades area.

Once you are connected, your details will be entered in to our accounting system where your first invoice will be entered and emailed to your Harbour sat email address. Your first invoice will in most cases include a part month and a full month service fee to bring you into line with our billing cycle. The part month will be charged as a percentage of your full monthly fee and the full month will be the first month of your 1st 6 months special price.
Bonus Data
- All of our plans include bonus off peak data which can more than double your monthly data allowance. This off peak data is available from 11:00pm-10:59am AEST/DST time.
Payment
- You can pay for your monthly fees automatically via your credit card or via direct debit from a nominated bank account. If you do not wish to pay using either of these options, we will accept payment equivalent to six months in advance via cheque or money order.
- Your subscription fee will be charged monthly in advance and if you incur any additional excess charges, you will receive a sales receipt/tax invoice emailed to your harboursat email address advising you of the extra charge and it will be debited from your nominated bank account on the 10th of the month along with your normal monthly charge.
- Subscription fees for the first and last months are billed on a pro-rata basis on the 10th of the month. ie If you are connected on the 15th of the month, then the first and last months subscription will be for half a month at your full monthly cost.
Installation and Connection
- If eligible for the Australian Broadband Guarantee subsidised service, Harbour IT can undertake a standard installation and connect you to our satellite service for free.
- Harbour IT can connect you for a minimum of thirty (30) days if you select a no fixed term contract. The cancellation would take effect on the 1st day of the following month after we receive your cancellation request form.
- A standard installation involves installing a 1.2m diameter satellite dish on the roof of the main building on the indicated property where the height of the building does not exceed two storeys and where the roof may be accessed safely and installation can take place with a clear line of sight to the Optus D1 satellite in the northern skies. The length of cable employed to run between the satellite dish and the nominated room must not exceed 30 metres. The travel incurred by the technician must not exceed 200 kilometres return from the customer's nearest depot.
In the event that a non-standard installation may be required, you should contact our Logistics Team on 1300 366 169 to discuss your specific requirements. We may be able to apply for additional funding from the Australian Government on your behalf to suit your circumstances.
